Writing and Blasting Articles
Published by Stephen Beck
After you have done your research, now you need to write articles around your key word phrases. Of course, you also want a link at the bottom of each of those articles that will lead people back to your sales page, right? At the bottom of your article should be a resource box with your website link. Ideally, your link should be a hyperlink for your main keyword phrase. For instance, my ebook on weddings could have this resource box.
"Stephen Beck has written many articles on throwing a wonderful wedding on a shoestring budget and is giving away a free report entitled, Save Money on Weddings. Click here for your free copy."
("Save money on weddings" would be a clickable link to my squeeze page because that is my main keyword from my research.)
When they click on that link to get their free report, they will be whisked away to your squeeze page. When they get to your squeeze page, they will enter their name and email so you can send them your free report. Once they submit their name and email, they are taken to your ebook sales page, which tells why they should buy your ebook right now.
Next, you should take all your articles that are on your website and blast them to the online article and ezine directories. Why in the world should you blast them all over the internet? Because webmasters are notoriously lazy and they love free articles. They do not mind a bit that your articles are going to direct the reader back to your website. When these articles become a part of other web pages and blogs, they provide backward links to your site. This really improves your ranking in search engines.
To review what I am saying here, basically you are giving out a free article. Tell them to feel free to steal your article and put it on their website. The only thing you ask is that they give you credit because you are the author. The bottom part called the resource box, which has my name, also has a link back to my site. As these articles become involved, or built into hundreds of other websites, you build more backward links to your squeeze or sales page. For sake of example, say one article is picked up by 200 different web sites. Well that is 200 links in the search engine that are all pointing back to your website.
Remember that articles are a key component of generating traffic to your website. They create backward links that are other websites pointing to your site through your keywords. I cannot stress the importance of this enough in helping point people to your website.
