Using Articles To Climb in Search Engines
Published by Stephen Beck

Articles can be used to raise the rankings of your website in the search engines.  Let me use the musician example.  If you go to a restaurant and ask five people at the table, "Which one of you is the musician?" and one guy raises his hand, you might believe him.  But if everybody at the table points to that guy, then you are confident that he is the musician.  That is exactly how it works in search engines.

If you say your website is about saving money on weddings, people might believe you.  But if thirty people say that your website is about saving money on weddings, or a hundred people say your website is about saving money on weddings, then Google thinks, "That must be what he is about."  This is especially true if Google goes to your page and finds it titled that way.  Plus, they see "saving money" and "weddings" all sprinkled throughout your web copy.

Now you will rank high in the search engines for a lot of key phrases, not just one.  Why?  These articles are all ranking in the search engines and they are all pointing people back to your page.  It is like this whole army of salesmen that rank highly for sometimes fairly obscure keyword phrases are all pointing back to your site.  It is just that many more people who will find your site this way.  You will not be competing against millions of other pages because you are using long tail keywords as your main article keyword.

Articles are a huge secret to getting people to your web site.  And your own competitors are going to be using your articles because they are lazy and they want the content.  Those same folks are going to be funneling traffic to your website, even the people who are making their own web pages about saving money on weddings.

Soon your webpage will be climbing in the search engines and that means new people arriving at your website, reading your sales letter every day.
