Personalize Your Autoresponder Messages
Published by Stephen Beck

There are many ways that autoresponders can really help manage your time and improve your productivity in your real home business.  Most people do not know how to use autoresponders to their fullest capacity and greatly miss out on some excellent opportunities to increase their customer base as well as save valuable time.

One such way to utilize an autoresponder is simply to attach a signature to your email.  This allows you to personalize your autoresponder messages. Signatures in this case are much like business cards. You can include your name, company, all your contact numbers and addresses, and a brief message.

It is a good idea to attach a signature to every email that is sent out. This works as a repeated reminder of your business identity every time a customer sees it. The more they look at your signature, the more likely your company will spring to mind when your particular service or product is needed.  An added benefit of having a signature line at the end of your email is that your email will appear more polished and your business will look more credible.

Keep the length of your signature between four to six lines of text, with no more than 70 characters in a single line.  Make sure that your email program does not cut off your text! The content should include your name, your company name, your email address, fax number, and any other contact details, such as 800 numbers.

Lastly, always include a short personal message about your company. It should be a subtle sell of your services or products, and possibly the reliability and longevity of your company.  I start the message with PS. to encourage more reading of my sales message.

Consider using a PS. as your signature.  Oftentimes, readers skim the message and read the PS.  Write your PS. to have a great sales message.

This is a very simple and effective way to utilize an autoresponder.  It does not take much time to set up and will impact every email that you send.  Take time to set yours up today!
